Health and safety for live classes

Before you come please make sure you have NO Covid-19 symptoms such as high temperature, cough, loss of taste & smell. If possible please do regular lateral flow tests, temperature checks and if you do have any symptoms please do NOT come to class. Different people have different vulnerabilities, so let’s try to take care of each other as best we can. Please make sure that you are following the current governemnt guideance on Covid-19 safety. Thankyou for your understanding.

When attending Sam Hutchinson Fitness live workouts, it is the participant's responsibility to ensure that:

any equipment is safe and in a suitable condition for the activity being performed

If you have any medical conditions, injuries, illnesses or any other conditions such as pregnancy which could impact upon your participation in this session you must gain approval from your GP before taking part.

If you are under 14 or have not completed the online pre-participation form, you must not take part in this workout. If your condition has changed since you completed it, you must complete it again and inform your instructor.

As with all fitness and exercise programmes, when using these exercise videos, you need to use your common sense. To reduce and avoid injury, you will want to check with your doctor before beginning any fitness programme. By performing any fitness exercises without supervision, you are performing them at your own risk. As Sam Hutchinson Fitness will not be responsible or liable for any injury or harm you sustain as a result of the fitness programmes on this page, online fitness videos or information shared on my website. This includes emails, videos and text.

Masks: You don't need to wear a mask once we're exercising, but please wear one as you enter and leave the building, when paying (if you're using a contact method of payment rather than BACS!) and if you visit the toilet!

Equipment: You must bring all of your own equipment. For Pilates you will need a mat, ball and band (possibly 2 if you like the different resistances) and for Recycled Teenagers you will need a mat and a resistance band. You will still be able to participate in the class if you don't have these things, you will just have to make some modifications. You can also buy balls and bands from me if you want to. Please don't share equipment with each other. Please clean any equipment you can before and after class. Please also bring some alcohol-based hand sanitiser to class and be sure to use it before and after the session. Please don't bring more belongings than necessary into the hall.

Payment: Ideally payment can be made via BACS. If you can't do BACS then please put the correct money or a cheque in a sealed envelope with your name on it. To help maintain social distancing I'm afraid I would prefer not to give change if I can avoid it.

Maintain 2 metres: You all know this already, but we must make sure we maintain 2 metres distance between other people before and after the class. This includes in the car park. The hall has markings which will enable us to keep the correct distance apart during the class.

Signs and symptoms of covid-19: If you have any signs or symptoms of Covid-19, or if you have been in contact with someone who has in the last 7 days, you must NOT come to class.  You must stay home and follow the UK government guidance. This information can be found here https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus By attending the class you are confirming that you do not have any signs/symptoms and nor have you been in contact with anyone who has. If you develop symptoms within 7 days of coming to class you must use the Test, Track and Trace system to alert others whom you have been in contact with.

Test and trace: You're attendance will be recorded and if necessary your details will be passed onto the NHS test and trace system. By attending the class you are agreeing to these terms.

Thanks for taking the time to read all these guidelines. I know it's a lot, but your health and stopping the spread of the virus has to be the top priority.
