Online Sessions
The Coronavirus has had an impact on all of us, but to try to help us all stay as active as possible, all my classes are being moved online. It may take a while to complete this process, but for now there are live online classes being held via ‘Zoom’, which is available for all desk and laptop computers or as the ‘Zoom Cloud Meeting’ app for tablets and phones. Already, these classes include Pilates, Zumba, Recycled Teenagers (60+ aerobics), and Orthopaedic Pilates. In the coming weeks I will also be adding recorded sessions that you’ll be able to watch and take part in any time, day or night. This page will be updated with details about how to access these as soon as they are available.
If you’d like to join the live online classes, or would like more information about when they’re running, how to join them, or how to pay for them, then please complete the contact form by clicking here and I’ll send you all the information you’ll need. You’ll also need to complete the pre-participation form below to be cleared to take part in online sessions with Sam Hutchinson Fitness.
In the meantime, to all my current participants or to anyone else visiting the website, look after yourselves, stay safe and sane, and I hope to see you in the online classes until we can get back to meeting in the ‘real world’.

Health and safety information for online classes
When exercising at home, it is your responsibility to ensure your environment is appropriate and that you will be able to move freely and safely without any risk of injury. Classes that involve a lot of movement may require 2 square metres of floor space, which must be clear of any tripping hazards such as cables, children’s toys, or household pets. It must also be free from slipping hazards such as water or grease. It is important that you are able to participate in the exercise class without distractions from others or from technological devices such as TVs. Furthermore, you must ensure that your exercise space has adequate lighting and ventilation and that it enables you to maintain an appropriate temperature for the kind of exercise you are participating in. It is also important that you wear appropriate footwear and stay hydrated, so make sure you take regular water breaks when required. Wherever you are using your own equipment during the exercise class, such as resistance bands or Pilates balls, it is your responsibility to inspect that equipment before use. If any injury occurs as a result of defective equipment, your instructor cannot be held responsible. If you have any existing health conditions, or experience changes in a health condition, then it is important that you consult with your doctor prior to participation in exercise to ensure that it is still safe for you to exercise at this time. Do not exercise if you are feeling unwell in any way.
