18th September 2026 Newsletter
Hi all,
As always, thanks so much for coming to class/subscribing this week!
A Quieter Week
There’s no huge announcement from me this week, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to say a massive thank you instead. ❤️
Whether you've been coming to my classes for years or you've only recently joined me, I really do appreciate you choosing to spend some of your week exercising with me.
Running a small local fitness business is very much a people business, and it's your continued support that keeps all of these classes going. So thank you!
A Little Reminder To Keep Moving 🐾
I’ve had a bit of a reminder recently about how important movement is — and it’s come from a slightly unexpected source... Patch!
He’s had a poorly leg, which has meant we’ve had to cut right back on his walks for a while. And because I’m not going to drag a dog with a dodgy leg around the countryside, I’ve been getting out and about a lot less too.
It’s actually made me realise just how much I enjoy that time. I miss our walks! I miss having a good wander, getting some fresh air, seeing what’s going on around us and having that bit of time away from everything else.
I also hadn’t really appreciated how much getting outside and moving about affects how I feel. Even a fairly ordinary walk can make such a difference — you come back feeling like you’ve actually done something, rather than just sat at a desk or pottered around the house all day.
And I think that’s something we sometimes forget when we talk about exercise. It doesn't always have to be a workout, a class or something you have to tick off your to-do list. Sometimes it’s just getting outside, moving your body and enjoying being somewhere other than the sofa!
Obviously, Patch would like me to point out that this is only applicable when the weather is suitable. He is very much a fair-weather walker and considers rain to be a perfectly reasonable excuse to stay at home. 😂
Hopefully we’ll both be back to our proper walks soon. In the meantime, it’s been a good reminder for me that movement isn’t just about fitness or ticking off your exercise for the day — it genuinely makes you feel better.
So, if you’ve been feeling a bit sluggish lately, perhaps don’t worry about doing a big workout. Just get your shoes on and go for a wander. You might be surprised how much better you feel when you get back. ❤️
