28th August 2026 Newsletter
Hi all,
Classes reopen next week, but not bank holiday Monday!
I hope you've all had a fabulous August and are looking forward to getting back to normal after our summer break! I can't believe how quickly August has flown by! I really don't feel ready for it to be September soon! Note, because Monday is bank holiday, classes WILL NOT RUN ON MONDAY, so the first Monday back is Sept 7th. All other classes are back to normal next week!
Pilates Space
The Thursday 8:05pm class has now gone, but a VERY RARE space has opened up in the Thursday 7:05pm Pilates class. It's an 8-week booking for £56 and is available to book now on the website. This is one of my hardest classes to get a space in, so it will most likely go pretty quickly! When you book for the term, you also get access to a selection of recorded Pilates classes, so if you're really in the September 'back to school' feeling then NOW is the time to start!
Message or email me to book, or grab it yourself by booking on the website!
Line Dancing
Line Dancing for Sept has almost sold out completely. There are just 2 block booking spaces left for all the Mondays in September (7th, 14th, 21st, 28th). It's £28 for the 4 classes (works out as £7 a class). If these spaces don't go by Monday 31st August, they will open as pay-as-you-go spaces so you will be able to book a one-off class for £7.50. Again, these spaces go very quickly, so if you want to get into line dancing, get booking ASAP before they go!
Please note, those of you who have booked for the month, payment is needed by tomorrow (Saturday 29th Aug) to secure your booking. This is so I can know how many PAYG spaces to open up for Monday.
FREE Line Dancing at Alveston Village Fair!
I'll be teaching a FREE 30 minute Line Dancing session at 2pm on 5th Sept as part of the Alveston Village Fair! Do come along and join me! No experience required - think easy to learn, fun dances for all the family! Cowboy hats optional!!!
If you are coming along, do pop me a quick message so I know to look out for you!
Brand New Yoga Classes Coming To Alveston
My lovely friend Lauren has just launched Bright Side Wellness, offering two beautiful new Monday evening classes at Alveston Methodist Church Hall. Her Yoga (Movement & Flow) class runs at 6.35pm and is suitable for everyone, including complete beginners, with a focus on movement, breath, strength and relaxation. Then at 7.35pm, you can completely switch off with Deep Rest (Yoga Nidra) — a wonderfully calming session designed to help you slow down, relax and reset. I'm actually quite annoyed that she's doing this on a Monday when I'm line dancing because I would love to give this one a go!
Classes are £10 PAYG, with cheaper block booking options available. If you fancy giving something new a go, go and check out Lauren's new classes! 💛 https://www.brightsidewellness.co.uk/
Lauren also offers Holistic Massage Therapy, with every treatment completely tailored to you and what your body needs that day. Whether you want to properly switch off and relax, ease muscular tension, support recovery or simply have an hour where someone else is looking after you, her approach is gentle, intuitive and completely personalised. She also offers Pregnancy & Postnatal Massage, thoughtfully adapted to support you through pregnancy, recovery and early motherhood. Treatments are available in Thornbury and Bradley Stoke, from £49 for 45 minutes. 💛
Please take a couple of minutes to leave me a Google Review if you enjoy my classes!Click this link and then write some nice stuff about me! Thanks!
Have an awesome weekend,
See you next week (but not Monday!),
Sam xxx
