Energy Hacks

🕐Find the right time🕞

🥱Do you sometimes feel like you just don't have the energy for your workout? Finding the right time of the day to workout will make a massive difference to how likely you are to workout and also to how much energy you have when you come to do your workout.

⏳We all have a 'biological prime time' when we have the most energy in the day. For me it's definitely first thing in the morning and then late in the evening too. Afternoons are not great for me and I definitely feel an energy slump around 2pm. Figuring this out has enabled me to plan my exercise for times when I know I'm more likely to be feeling enthusiastic!


👍Just do the warmup!👍

🤔Something is better than nothing and best case scenario the warm up will invigorate you and you'll feel energised and ready to do the rest of your session!🎇



🚰Hydration is KEY to keeping your energy levels high!🚰

🌊If you're already thirsty you are already dehydrated! Try to sip water throughout the day, rather than suddenly downing a bunch of water once you realise you're thirsty. You body will absorb it better this way!🌊

🥛Carry a water bottle with you throughout the day and try to keep taking sips. When you have a workout planned, make sure you're pre-hydrating yourself (think I made this word up, but I like it) so you're ready for your workout!🥛


📅Track your energy levels

📅Track your energy levels throughout the week and schedule your harder workouts for the days that you tend to have more energy. Save your mobility and stretch sessions for the days when you will enjoy a lower intensity workout! 🧘‍♀️

🤔Be realistic with yourself - there's no point in trying to force yourself to do a super hard workout when you're shattered! You might manage it a few times, but unless you are the most self-disciplined person on the planet you will fall off the wagon at some point! It's much better to start with a realistic and achievable plan that you can actually stick to!👍


🌲Get outside!🌊

🌦It's not always easy in the UK because the weather isn't always fabulous, but when you can, try to get outside for at least 15 minutes a day!☔

🎼Play your favourite music! The songs that make you want to move and boosts your mood with fill you with energy and motivation!

🎹Music is soooo powerful and makes such a difference to the way that you feel. When you're feeling low on energy pop on your favourite songs and see your energy levels go through the roof!
