As always, thanks so much for coming to class/subscribing this week!

Open Garden

Robin Wilmot, former owner of Eastwood Garden Plant Centre (and husband of someone who comes to my Pilates class) is opening his garden on Sunday 1st June between 1pm and 4pm to raise money to support his daughter's Garden at RHS Summer Flower Show. It's £5 entry and tea/coffee and cake is an additional £1pp.

Travel along A38 to Rudgeway and go past the Mason's Arms. Continue through the Church Road (Yate turning) and park in the large lay-by on the right-hand side. Walk south (towards Almonsdbury) for 50 yards and you come to a private lane between house numbers 29 and 23. Wills House (number 27) is about 50 yards down the lane on the right-hand side. It's a cream rendered buidling with solar panels on the roof. Apparently there will also be balloons to alert people to the right house!

There's no parking at the house, so please park in the lay-by on the A38.

Zumba Gold Santa Fundraiser!

Now I know, you will all shout at me if I use the 'C' word so I'll do my best to limit myself, but the jingle-bell season will be hear before you know it and local instructor Natasha Johnson has invited me to be part of her Zumba Gold Santa Fundraiser!

If you're not sure what Zumba Gold is, it's Zumba but a easier! Think all the slow, low impact songs and none of the ones that make you feel a bit sick! This is a class ANYONE can do, so I really hope people who haven't done Zumba before will come and give it a go and get involved, as well as lots of my Zumba regulars!

There are 6 instructors involved, plus there will be tea and cake and there's the all important raffle too! £5 from every ticket goes to charity, plus the tea/cake and raffle money will be split between the charities chosen by the instructors. Controversially, I will be fund raising for Cotswold Dogs & Cats Home, just to give Cancer Research a bit of a break from me (it's actually because another instructor has chosen Cancer Research so I thought I'd do something different!).

Participants are invited to wear black leggings with plain red or red Santa T shirts to go with the Santa hats we will give you that help create an extremely Christmassy visual feast.

We are coming together as a collaboration of many Zumba Gold Zin instructors so you will have an amazing time dancing to lots of wonderful routines. Then we stay for tea, cake and the raffle.

It's on Sunday 7th Dec 2-4pm (90 mins dancing, 30 mins teas/cake and raffle) and will be at the Greenway Centre in Southmead.
