Hi all,

As always, thanks so much for coming to class/subscribing this week! Special thanks to everyone who came to class today and yesterday for keeping your energy so high depite my poorly and pathetic state!

Bank Holidays

Please note there are no classes this Monday (6th May) or on the next Bank Holiday (27th May). All other classes are running as normal.

Pilates spaces

The next term of Pilates starts week after next. It looks like all classes will be fully booked. Most regulars have renewed and the few open spaces have been filled with people on the waiting lists. As always, do get in touch ASAP if you want to join Pilates as these classes sell out super fast and rarely get put up on the website. If you want to join a Pilates class then the best way to do so is to be on the waiting lists, so get in touch if you want to join a class!

All classes are run in Alveston and are at the following times:

Tuesdays 11:15am

Tuesdays 6pm

Thursdays 11:30am

Thursdays 7:05pm

Thursdays 8:05pm

Fridays 9:05am

Let's Sing To Remember

We are starting a new singing group on a Wednesday afternoon for those who have memory difficulties, as well as their partners and carers.

It will typically be on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month (with the exception of May and August when it will be 2nd and 4th Wednesday) and a 5th Wednesday when there is one!

We will meet for a chat over a ‘cuppa’ and biscuit for ½ hr and then have some fun singing till 3:15pm. We would ask that people come with a partner or carer (who stays) unless they are truly independent. (We cannot be responsible for

individuals).

We are an independent voluntary group. To cover our costs, we kindly ask for a contribution of at least £2.50 per person. Our costs include the hire of the hall, insurance, refreshment provisions, music copying, etc.

Dog Show!

Not exactly fitness related (although Patch certainly keeps me fit!), Jigsaw will be hosting a Dog Show tomorrow in St Mary's Centre. Patch will be there to show off his sitting skills (or lack of, as the case may be!).

🐾 🐕 Bring your furry friend and join in at the Thornbury Community Dog Show this Saturday 4th May, outside the JIGSAW venue in St Mary Centre.

There will be something for everyone, with classes including classics such as a puppy round and best rescue dog, to fun rounds of musical sits and a ‘best dressed’ fancy dress competition. Tickets for all classes will be on sale for £2 each from the JIGSAW venue in the St Mary Centre from 10am on the day of the event, with a timetable of events open to the public happening between 11:20 and 4pm. 100% of ticket sales will go towards the continuation of the charity’s services.

☕ 🍪 🍦 Refreshments for humans and dogs will be available from Hawkes House coffee van. Dog ice cream, dog biscuits, coffee and cake will be one sale with 50% of the proceeds from the day going to JIGSAW Thornbury!

💜 Dog friendly chill zone for the last hour of the Love Thornbury Outdoor Fest event from 4:00 - 5:00pm for anyone who would like to sit and relax, spend some time with Albus our therapy dog, and meet other local dog people.

The inspiration for this event has come from JIGSAW Thornbury’s very own therapy dog, Albus. This much-loved dog attends many of the 17 services we offer, helping to keep people calm and feel more comfortable joining in with activities.

Everyone is welcome to come and watch the dog show! Please support our fundraising and share this post with your friends and family. 🙏
